Couple of combinations work well.

Compleatly midi or mix system.

Mix system1 : Standard mixer & DMC2 from numark. Good controller that was developed for NumarkCue/VDJ has video and audio crosfade buttons built into the controller and a mapper avail to PRO users.

Mix System2 : Midi mixer such as NUO4 with Timecoded Vinals/CD's for Turntable guys.

Midi System : Numark Total Control with DJ i/o soundcard. No need for much else as the total control will handle most fuctions and the crossfader can be linked to do both video/audio at the same time. The I/O sounds good appearently From Guys who own it.

Other Controllers Are avail but not Compleatly supported at the moment.

how does a DAC 3 work with Virtual DJ

Works quite well

There is an extended mapper available for PRO users in the download section that really makes the controller come to life.

But it's only avail for FUll users ;(

I've had both the DAC3 and the DMC2, DMC2 in my opinion is far better. I use video almost exclusively and the DMC2 just does it. Mixer this end is the Pioneer DJM3000, I love that too.

I 'would' totally put a plug for the Denon HC4500 as a controler here if it were supported by VDJ!

But it isn't yet...

Side note to Denon and VDJ:

Is it supported yet... How about now...

(in the mean time the 4500 makes a pretty paperweight)

Is there an extended mapper available for the Hercules MK2?

Yes there is:)

What exactly are the differences by using this mapper vs. unmapped? All the buttons on the Hercules seem pretty well in control of the VDJ interface just as plugged in via the USB.... ??

Its ur preference;)

But is there a way of actually seeing the possible improvements/changes from using the mapper?
