Hi everyone,
I’m having a strange issue with VirtualDJ (latest 2026 build) and my Numark Mixtrack Platinum controller.
My setup:
Laptop with NVIDIA RTX 3050 Laptop GPU
NVIDIA Studio Drivers
Windows 11
VirtualDJ 2026 (subscription version)
Numark Mixtrack Platinum
Video mixing / automix with music videos
External TV output through HDMI
Audio output through the Mixtrack Platinum
The MASTER volume inside VirtualDJ randomly moves by itself during automix playback.
I have the master knob on my controller on 12' o clock (or lower) but suddenly after some random videos playing in automix it goes full max. This happens even when I am not touching the controller. I tried out skins with master volume knob but nothing seems to do the trick.
In the pictures you can clearly see my setting on the knob and the maxed out that happened automatically.
Could you please help out?

are you using the default mapping for the controller?

The ghost reading shows something is moving it. Try a default mapping.
Most people keep the master full then use the individual channel gains

That is the strange thing. nothing is moving it and I use the default mapping which I edited only some fx and the behaviour of the cue buttons. I cannot use the volume faders due to I play videos (and moving the channel faders fades the video - I use this feature) I do not to want to mess with the master volume unless I need some volume.

just to clarify further the "ghost" setting on the knob is the one that I have chosen for the master vol and then it just gets maxed out.
I would like to thank you all in advance for your help and looking into this matter.

As others said, the ghost slider position implies that your master volume is controlled by two things at the same time.
Your controller produces the "ghost" position, while the software/GUI/any possible scripts you may use produce the "normal" position.
Of course during regular operation those two sliders should match.
Most likely something that you remapped somewhere, changes your master volume via script

Thank you all for your input. After a lot of testing and a live set on Saturday I think that I don't have the "ghost" problem any more. The solution (as you all have instructed) was that I reverted the mappers to the original and created a new custom one.
